ABM is saddened to learn of the death last week of Bishop Jeremy Ashton.

Bishop Jeremy was an English priest, who came to Papua New Guinea in 1960 to serve as priest in charge at Eroro in the then Anglican Diocese of New Guinea. He met and married Australian missionary teacher, Betty Randall, and went on to serve in a number of leadership positions in the church in Papua New Guinea. He was consecrated first bishop of Aipo Rongo upon the creation of the Anglican Province of Papua New Guinea in 1977.

Bishop Jeremy and his family left PNG in 1980 to live and work in Australia.

His Burial will be on 3 December, and more details can be obtained by contacting admin@mafunerals.com.au

His Thanksgiving Service will be held at 2pm, Friday 9 December at Christ Church Castlemaine. (No flowers, by request).
