TAX APPEAL 2026
Together, we can empower more people around the world
A hand up is sometimes all that’s needed to help people lift themselves out of poverty. A loan for a piglet. Some gardening tools and seeds. A water tank close to home.
Our church partners across Asia, Africa and the Pacific are extending that helping hand: strengthening food security, building up livelihoods and walking alongside communities to achieve long-term change.
Your tax-deductible gift funds this crucial work, helping end the cycle of poverty.
In places like Cebu in the Philippines, communities are dealing with rising poverty, limited access to fresh water, and the daily stress of a hand-to-mouth existence.
Grandparents Gregorio and Luz live on a small island in northern Cebu.
Their granddaughter Sabrina, 3, lives with them – her father was killed in a fishing accident, and her mother works on another island. Gregorio fishes to provide for his family, but at times his nets come up empty.
Through the work of our local church partner, Gregorio and Luz received a small start-up loan and learnt new methods of sustainable farming and pig-raising. When fish stocks are low, they now have garden produce to eat and pigs to breed and sell. With this income, they can put aside a little for Sabrina’s education.
“For as long as I live, I will continue supporting Sabrina,” says Gregorio.
Will you help break the cycle of poverty for more people like Gregorio and Luz?
With your generous support combined with the hard work of local Anglican partners, the tide can be turned: people can move from food insecurity to stability.
And there has never been a better time to give.
Because your gift before June 30 will be matched 1:5 by the Australian Government*, helping to extend this work to more communities in need.
