Keethan is from Sri Lanka, a nation that has been torn apart by civil war and economic crisis.
But in a country where differences of religion have caused conflict and misunderstanding, our work in Sri Lanka, through the Church of Ceylon, promotes peace.
At Keethan’s pre-school children of all religions – Hindu, Muslim and Christian – learn and grow together in harmony.
Your generosity means that Keethan and his classmates have nutritious meals while they learn, helping young brains and bodies grow strong.
They have teachers who are well trained, turning up every day to model values of love and acceptance.
They have a safe place to learn the building blocks of life. Reading. Counting. And treating other people with respect and kindness, as Jesus did.
Children represent our hope for the world. This Christmas, your generous gift can keep the smiles of kids like Keethan bright in the year ahead.
It’s not only pre-schoolers that your generosity helps this Christmas.
At a centre run by the Anglican Diocese of Colombo, young adults like Reuben* are learning computer skills that open up opportunities for the future.
The centre is a beacon of inter-faith cooperation and practical help.

PRAYER
We give you thanks, Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace,
for the opportunities that peace affords.
We thank you for improved educational prospects:
quality education for pre-schoolers where children of all religions –
Hindu, Muslim and Christian –
are learning and growing together in harmony;
excellent tuition for teens,
helping them to step out into good careers;
transformative training for women
allowing them to set up businesses; and
the provision of clean water for the community.
We thank you for these blessings,
and we ask you to prosper all those in Australia
who help to enable this work
through their generosity and interest.
