
ABM 175th Anniversary Supporter Fest
Join us to celebrate faith, history, and hope
To help us celebrate 175 years of God’s mission, and ensure a sound future for ABM, we have organised an ABM Supporter Fest in Sydney on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 October. You are welcome to attend one or more of the ABM Supporter Fest events even if you can’t attend the dinner on Wednesday 29 October.
Supporter Gathering – Preparing for the Future
Date: 28 October 2025
Purpose: Opportunity for ABM supporters to
- spend time with fellow ABM supporters, ABM staff, Board members and Australian and overseas partners
- celebrate their part of ABM’s 175-year story
- contribute to ABM’s future
Venue: Christ Church St Laurence Hall, 505 Pitt St (near Central Railway, and Haymarket light rail stop).
Time: 9am Registration opens with light refreshments available
10am Official start
12.30pm Lunch (catered)
5pm Close and Evening Prayer
A more detailed program will be sent to those attending closer to the event.
Cost: $30 (pay online below, or select ‘Pay Later’ and we will send you an invoice)
Myanmar Roadshow – Myanmar Emergency Appeal Update
Date: 28 October 2025
Venue: Christ Church St Laurence Hall, 505 Pitt St (near Central Railway, and Haymarket light rail stop).
Time: 6pm-8.30pm
Purpose: Hear first-hand illustrated accounts from ABM Pilgrims to Myanmar in 2020 of ABM’s work in Myanmar and the challenges facing the Church of the Province of Myanmar as it responds to ongoing crises. Enjoy a complimentary light meal of authentic Myanmar food with wine or fruit juice. You will have an opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to ABM’s Myanmar Emergency Appeal.
Double your Impact! A generous ABM benefactor will match dollar for dollar donations up to $2,000.

Local tours of sites of interest
Date: 29 October 2025
Gawura School – two tour times available 9.30am and 11am.
Tour Gawura School which is co-located within St Andrew’s Cathedral School. Tour will take approximately 1 hour – some seating will be available at points during the tour.
Venue: Meet behind St Andrew’s Cathedral near main entrance to St Andrew’s Cathedral School.
Group size: Each tour limited to 12 people.
Cost: Free
Tranby and Scarred Tree Ministry Walking Tour – one tour starting at 10am
Walking tour of Tranby National Indigenous Adult Education and Training College and Scarred Tree Ministry at St John’s Glebe. Tour will take approximately 2 hrs and will include a 750m walk between Tranby and St John’s Glebe. Includes morning tea.
Venue: Meeting place to be confirmed after registration.
Group size: Tour limited to 15 people.
Cost: $10 for morning tea
Other tours are being considered and will be advertised as they are confirmed. You may also wish to explore Sydney on your own or using a tour-guide.
