Supporter Katherine Rainger recently informed us of a successful fundraising dinner for ABM's Nepal Earthquake Emergency Appeal held in May at Holy Covenant Anglican Church in Jamison, ACT.
Katherine said, "The night was wonderful. We raised over $2000. It was catered by 'The Hungry Buddha' a Nepalese restaurant and that was a nice connection to make."
"The night was initiated by Liam Harper who is a young adult in the parish. He was concerned after speaking to his friend Sahil in Nepal and wanted to do something. Over 80 people attended the dinner and everyone had a great night. Food was fantastic and we had a live Skype call to Sahil which added to the night immensly."
ABM is very grateful to those who contributed to the event and to Katherine who organised the fundraiser. It is so heartwarming to hear of how our supporters are responding to help others in need. Thank you!
