THE GOOD FRIDAY GIFT
The Mothers' Empowerment Program - Palestine
In the Diocese of Jerusalem, the Princess Basma Centre for children with disabilities is providing a series of quality, specialised and comprehensive rehabilitation services. These services are for children that are less fortunate and cannot afford the services elsewhere.
The program is accompanied by a Mothers’ Empowerment Program which also requires assistance through funding. In this program, mothers receive specialised psychosocial support, recreational activities, and educational workshops on different health issues related to disabilities and rights of children with disabilities. They also attend every therapy session with their children and are trained by the therapists on performing the activities when they return back home.
Please support this program and empower mothers who are the primary caregivers of their disabled children.
THE EASTER GIFT
Northern Territory Discipleship Track - Australia
Aboriginal Christians face formidable challenges as they seek to walk ‘the narrow’ track with God.
Travelling to and from remote communities is time consuming and expensive which isolates our Partners from the broader Church. They live in the tension between their traditional cultures and the Church, whilst working in communities where English is a second language and where material disadvantage is prevalent. Aboriginal church leaders also minister in settings where people are often still looking to the Church for leadership in the face of overwhelming challenges and griefs.
Please support this project and assist remote Aboriginal Christians gain access to much needed training as they seek to witness to Christ in their communities.
