Good Friday Gift

Through the Good Friday Gift, the Anglican Church in Australia joins in God’s mission in the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East.

Last year funds were raised towards the building of an aged care facility and community centre in Birzeit, just north of Jerusalem in the Ramallah province. The 'Walking Together' project in Ethiopia was also supported, allowing clergy and lay leaders to gather for an annual Assembly in Gambella Regional State so that they can experience the invigoration of story-sharing and the sense of achievement from working on problems together.

There are many areas in which the ABM Good Friday Gift can help with essential ministries such as medical outreach and care, scholarships for needy students, support for refugees, as well as spiritual outreach, the establishment of new congregations, support to literature work, and interfaith dialogue.

With your help, each Good Friday the church in Australia makes a practical and meaningful contribution to the work and mission of our Brothers and Sisters who shine as symbols of light and hope. They are the body of Christ in the Holy Lands.

Donate to the Good Friday Gift through the 2012 Lent & Good Friday Campaign.
