Support the Indigenous Principal and the Assistant Principal at Wontulp-Bi-Buya College Cairns

Rev’d Des Rumble was the first full-time Indigenous Principal of Wontulp-Bi-Buya College and followed in the footsteps of Michael Connelly who served in a part-time position. Des’ ministry included the teaching of theology and the pastoral support of the students.

In 2008, Des decided it is time to move to another ministry but the role of Principal in the college remains a significant position in the life of the students and the Australian Anglican Communion.

Des has been supported by the Rev’d David Thompson whose part time ministry in the area of curriculum development and accounts management ensures a smooth transition for students coming to study and as Assistant Principal, he will again play an important role in the interregnum.

Together these two positions offer very important leadership roles in the college. Your support will enable this work to continue – a ministry which is benefiting around 100 students per year plus the positive flow on effect to their families and the general community.

We need to raise $37,500 in 2008
