The new 2012 Auxiliary Project aims to help create awareness of gender equality, gender-based violence and harmful cultural and religious practices within local communities in Zambia.
It is hoped that 1,000 targeted households will be reached through this program.
The project seeks to strengthen the support of women and girls in chosen regions to make positive change in their lives by increasing their knowledge and skills, asserting their rights, and protecting against gender based violence and gender imbalance.
Activities that promote gender equality, including education and skills training and economic empowerment of women and girls so that they can participate fully in national development, will be the focus of the Gender and Governance Initiative.
Help the Auxiliary to reach their fund raising goal this year and make a difference to the lives of women in this country.
Donations to this program are tax deductible.
