Choose to make Lent in 2010 a time of growth in knowledge and spiritual depth.

Lent is a wonderful opportunity for us to make choices. In 2010 the weekly gospels, service outlines and sermon notes focus on the choices we have and the choices we make.

Chakaos and Lent Purses
What is a chakao? A chakao is an exquisitely woven shoulder bag used in the Philippines to carry important possessions. They are produced by Easter Weaving – a program of our Partner, the Episcopal Church of the Philippines. We are selling colourful, authentic Chakaos for use as offering bags for your Lenten Gifts. They’ll add a splash of vibrancy and focus people’s attention on their Lent Gift. With the chakaos you can purchase small woven purses for individuals to use during Lent. They can be distributed as people decide how they will undertake their Lent journey and the disciplines of sacrifice and giving. It can even be used as a part of the Do-It-Yourself Fast.
