ABM's 2012 Lent and Good Friday Campaign focuses on projects in Australia, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea, as well as Jerusalem.
Projects supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander church and community leaders through Wontulp-Bi-Buya College, providing Curriculum Development at Newton Theological College in Papua New Guinea and funds for the Food Security and Agriculture Program in the Philippines all provide opportunity to participate in God’s mission and ground Christian belief in action.
Through the Good Friday Gift, Australian Anglicans can join in God’s mission in the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East. Funds raised for this campaign will be in support of the Women and Youth Empowerment project in the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.
Executive Director of ABM, the Rev’d John Deane says, "Lent is a time when we can reflect on and respond to God’s call to be missioners."
"I encourage you to give to these projects during Lent and allow ABM to continue working with our partners in Australia and around the world."
